Weather

Mostly sunny skies and blustery southwest winds. Temperatures were unusually warm, with readings above freezing on Red Mountain Pass at 7:30 AM. An inversion was in place, with colder temperatures in Silverton than on the pass.

Snowpack

Most of the highway paths were bare ground with the exception of East Riverside, and Silver Ledge mine, which had thin, discontinuous coverage. The snow I did observe hanging on in shady areas along the highway, was all facets.
