New snow was wet above a still solid layer below.
Avalanche
Avalanche was triggered by the first of a group of 3 skiers around 1240 PM. Skier was able to avoid slow moving slide. Initial small wet sluffing picked up momentum and snow as it traveled downhill. Likely a D 1 /1.5 wet slab from the new snow that didn’t seem to be well bonded with the layer below
