Avalanche

This was a large D4 that ran during the March cycle. It destroyed a cabin and the ruins of the Green Mountain Mill. This area has a history of large avalanches and the mill was the site of an accident on March 17, 1906 that killed the mill foreman. https://durangoherald.com/articles/36388 The homeowners were on site and showed me the former location of the mill and the cabin. The mill ruin was completely gone with the exception of a couple of beams and a piece of machinery. The cabin was completely destroyed and the debris was around 200' downhill of it's former location. The debris crossed the road and left about 12' x 1870' on the road. It ran uphill at least 100'.
