Weather
Mostly sunny and warm with increasing clouds in the early afternoon. Ridge top winds near treeline were mild but larger plumes could be seen on higher elevation peaks.
Snowpack
The new snow was the primary focus today and thankfully, it seemed to be fairly well bonded. Just enough sun helped settle out the new snow on solar aspects, but cooler temps helped keep a full wet loose shed in check. Looking around the range, there were very few examples of fresh avalanches outside of some small sluffs in steeper terrain. Large plumes and active wind-loading were observed above treeline mainly on north to northeast facing slopes. I dug/probed around on a couple north-facing slopes near treeline and found depths up to 3 meters deep with little to no weaknesses in the upper snowpack.
Avalanche
Only a few small loose snow avalanches were observed. These ranged from north to east aspects on steep near treeline slopes
