Snowpack

A few handpits focusing on east aspects BTL showed the transition from a completely faceted snowpack to a faceted snowpack capped by very thin, soft crust happens right around 90° due east.  Shortly south of that, snow coverage generally disappears except behind tree shadows.  West aspects BTL have somewhat patchier coverage than east, but you can still find continuous weak layers on the shady half of west and on features well shaded by evergreens.  .
