Weather

Cold and quiet along the ridge this morning. Winds picked up a little during the tour, but any available snow had already been moved from west slopes.

Snowpack

Two supportive to ski and boot melt freeze crusts are now present near and below treeline on west slopes. These crusts are 2 and 5 cm thick respectively with 5 cms of df between. the sit below the latest 7 cm of new snow. Notable that they extend well below treeline to 10830 feet. Small (6") touchy wind drifts were cracked easily and moved beneath skis, did not entrain snow as they moved.
