Compression test results: CTM 12 sudden planar break at 20cm depth. CTH 21 Sudden Planar break at 50cm depth. CTH 25 Sudden planar break at 80cm depth. 3 layers of concern. Each broke suddenly and had a very smooth sliding surface. Definitely a large concern.
Weather
Very windy at falls lake. Significant wind transport of snow as well as new snow in the last couple days totalling to 20cm new snow at the point of observation. More wind loaded areas has significantly deeper drifts.
Snowpack
Compression test results: CTM 12 sudden planar break at 20cm depth. CTH 21 Sudden Planar break at 50cm depth. CTH 25 Sudden planar break at 80cm depth. 3 layers of concern. Each broke suddenly and had a very smooth sliding surface. Definitely a large concern. Most recent layer deposited by recent wind loading and new snow. Depth hoar present below 80cm in the snowpack. Facets grow more sugary until they reach ground. Overall an unstable snowpack with multiple concerns
