New storm snow sits on settling rounding snow. Down 103, moderate sudden collapse results were noted where the pack transitions to the weak January facets. Below this is a faceted snowpack with the bottom 5 cm of rounding DH. Noted a recent cornice failure with a storm slab release on upper molars.
