Snowpack

Traveled near and below treeline today on east and northeast aspects. Most slopes in this area had an average snowpack depth of 80 cm. Less than 1cm of new snow from Monday in the upper snowpack. Recent dust layer starting to show up at the surface in a few areas. Around 10am, about 5-10cm of the surface had thawed. By noon, closer to 20cm of the upper snowpack had melted. We called it a day by 12pm due to some concerns about deep weak layers.
