Weather

Skies were clear in the morning hours. Cloud cover increased throughout the day with mostly high-level clouds.

Snowpack

Southerly slopes melted out to 9500 feet. The winter snowmobile trailhead was moved 10 miles up to this elevation. Snow surfaces frozen till about 10200 feet. Above this elevation there were patches of wind-blown snow and about 12 inches of settled, cold winter-like snow on shady aspects above a firm crust.---No signs of instability and no recent avalanches.
