Weather

Scattered clouds in the morning. Became overcast by early afternoon. Light west winds at pass level. Stronger winds observed above treeline during morning hours.

Snowpack

Weak layer concerns at lower elevations in this area all seemed to be in the upper snowpack. Layers of facets and surface hoar were biggest concern for triggered avalanches. All found withing upper 50 cm of snowpack. Stronger mid pack seems as if it would hold up well to all but the largest loads. Lower snowpack facets showed sings of rounding during periods of mild weather.
