Snowpack
In the morning...the new snow would sluff, but had no slab properties. As the new snow gained dpeth and volume some cracking was observed. They would not propagate far. At the end of the day, on a small steep (upper 30s) east facing slope, the new snow slid on the old snow surface. The slab was 12-16 inches deep, 20-30 feet wide and only traveled 30-40 feet to the bottom of the slope.
