Snowpack
snow stability test resulted in clean and quick shearing of the most recent storm snow after 10 taps of the shovel which was about about 10". more taps resulted in the another clean shear along the interface with dept hoar. about 15 taps. Sorry, I forget the correct language here. anyway. this layer was about 30" below the surface. sugar facets below this layer were about 14" deep and large squared facets. at about 9000 feet on a northwest facing convex roller there was a natural slide. the roller was about 38 degree where it released. it was viewed from a distance of a 50 yards across and below us and photos would have been difficult to read. we were not able to view the slide run out from our vantage point. so it is unknown how far it traveled or its destruction. we didn't fee like getting any closer. just want to get the word out for others. thx
