Gothic Area...E/S aspects up to 11,400'....variable snowpack...shallow suncrusts from Fri on slopes steeper then 30* with overnight surface hoar layer formed on top of crusts. Snow profiles on slopes up to 36* showed 8"-10" consolidated storm snow from last weekend over a series of crusts over a very variable depth 1F hard mid pack. Very little depth hoar observed on bottom. Repeatable test results of CTE resistant planar within last weeks storm snow, and CTM resistant planar at the basal facet layer...full depth. Lots of wet loose activity observed on steep E/SE aspects by mid day....and S/W aspects had moist surface snow with ski pen around 10". Feels like Spring..
