Snowpack
Early morning ski in the Anthracites. Started skinning around 530 am. Cold and calm, but snowing consistently on our way up. Increasing winds throughout the morning, especially on the ridge between 7th bowl and big chute. 2-3 inches of new snow, with areas of windblown snow reaching 8 or more inches. Boot penetration- boot top. Ski penetration- 8 inches. Skied tree chute and 7th bowl with no evidence of avalanches, but some sloughing while skiing.
