Snowpack

On S and SE aspects near/below treeline. HS averaged 80 cm. Good structure; 4F+ at bottom (mixed forms) up to F at surface.(precip particles). As we transitioned from SE to due S, two distinct melt-freeze crusts are buried about 20 cm down. (Formed on Dec 25 and Dec 21/22) Fair bonding with new snow above, and not much slab to be concerned with (all F hardness). We did ski cut two very small pockets (~15 ft wide) on this interface. Otherwise, we skied slopes up to 40 degrees with now signs of instability. See attachment for quick profile on NE aspect. No recent avalanche activity observed.
