See pit profile. Pit was dug on skier's right flank just below crown. Not my typical zone… but obvious issues at ice (rain crust) layer and depth hoar.

Avalanche

Sorry this report is slightly dated, we were up at the hut. Talked to reporting party on our ski into Eiseman on Mon Dec 29. The RP stated he was caught in an avalanche the day before, partially buried, and dug himself out. He gave us the approx location and size of the avalanche. We investigated the slide on Tues Dec 30 and did a crown profile on skier's right flank just below crown.
