Quick report
Sun on Saturday softened southerly aspects and briefly softened northerly aspects but not enough to shed much snow. A slight breeze quickly refroze everything that evening and then intermittent clouds on Sunday kept things surprisingly firm even on more south aspects. So, no avy concerns over the weekend and all the roller ball and wet loose slide activity observed was from the past week. Still, there were concerns in the mountains but mostly limited to eyeing the large cornices that continue to hang on overhead and the firm surfaces that were difficult to find an edge on. Climbers aiming to scale the popular Mt Deception should pay close attention to the cornice near the peak and the weather in case the NW couloir doesn't soften up for an easier descent.
