Weather

Mostly cloudy with thickening and lowering of cloud ceiling to the south of Molas Pass. Temperatures and winds quite mild. Temps range 33F - 37F along the passes this morning.

Snowpack

From No to So: ***Ruby Walls - Dry ***Mother Cline - NNW - Mostly a sheet of ice with patches of very thin snow. ***E. Riverside - WNW - Thin, rocky patches showing. ***Blue Point - E-ENE (this E aspect protected by cliffs this time of year, unlike Ledges) - Smooth! Fragile crust with surface facets rounding on edges. ***Silver Ledge Mine - ENE - Thicker crust/facet sandwich (very diff from BP) Strong cr will support load. Surface is facets and small Surf Hoar softening around the edges - slides will run on surface. ***Brooklyns - W - Where I was - slight fragile crust topped with facets and some small surface hoar with softening edges. Weak below. ***Jenny Parker No - NE - Loose dry facets. ***E. Lime - W - Patchy snow. Almost no snow lower 1/3. ***W. Lime - ENE - 12" on stake. Some rocks visible but still a sliding surface in many areas. Double cr/facet sandwich but this one is more fragile, with loose dry facets below - ugg. ***Henry Brown - SE - Lost most of it's snow - patchy. ***Coal Cr - Protected NE - only place with good snow cover. (probably all facets) ***Engineers - SE - very thin. Did not ck surfaces here.
