Weather
Light wind with moderate gusts from the east-southeast. Bouts of small snow crystals not accumulating to much. Some partial clearing around noon. Felt near freezing and maybe just above at lower elevations near 11,000 ft.
Snowpack
Above Treeline: Moist snow top to bottom. About 15 cm of recent snow over a crust. Then the Mother's Day snow, also over a thicker crust and percolation columns. Strong snow at the ground. All seemed well bonded. South wind over the last few days has created small isolated pockets of slabby snow near ridges. Near and Below Treeline: Similar as above with less obvious and more compact layering. Weak wet snow below the Mother's Day storm snow right to the ground.
