Snowpack

We did a few ski pole penetrations on the WSW slope and found somewhat of a crust down about that far but didn't dig to investigate so I didn't add it to the obs. The bottom of the soda creek drainage (~8000ft) seemed to be the rain/snow line from the rain event in mid-December but some warm air could have sloshed around the drainage basin and set up a rain crust at various elevations. I didn't find any crust on a north facing slope at 8400ft but we were about 8400 on the WSW slope and had a crust.
