Weather

Cool start to the AM. warming and mild, though staying relatively cool. Clear skies w/ strong sun. Mostly calm other than on ridges above treeline. There NW winds were moderate, but gusty w/ some extreme gusts at 13k.

Snowpack

Stout freezes. The best we've seen in weeks. Sun and temps were able to soften surfaces, but not enough to affect stability. Wind helped to keep surfaces cool. Some very shallow pockets of recently drifted snow, but not consequential.

Avalanche

Saw a couple old avalanches from the 3/1-2 cycle in headwaters of Bear Ck. One notable wet slide on Wrly aspect below TL that was over a week old.
