Dug hasty pit on 30 degree NE facing slope below treeline. HS215cm, pit dug to ~ 150cm deep. Shovel shear test indicated 3 weak layers at approximately 60, 90 and 120cm. The 60 cm deep surface hoar interface yielded all failures in pit tests CTH22x2,(RPQ2). Extended column test did not propogate (ECTN23). Performed deep tap on 120cm persistent slap interface DTH23. No crack or whoomphing observed on approach, small overhanging pillows with no support cleanly released 60cm surface slab, small continuous rollovers did not release when ski cut. Widespread surface hoar formation was evident up to 1cm length.
