Snowpack
Mid day Mt. Emmons tour. Sloppy hot pow or spring like something around 1pm. Boot pen was about 15cm through moist snow at the same time near treeline. Steep southerly slopes below tree line felt like moist snow to the ground with an HS around 80cm or less.
Avalanche
Several skier triggered and natural, small loose avalanches on the NE side of Axtell and in the OBJ drainage. A recent cornice fall in the Redwell area had enough mass to be a D2 or big enough to bury you. Near East Beckwith, debris could be seen big enough to be a D2-2.5 that ran from 11,400ft to 10,100ft on an East aspect.
