Great start up high...hope for some valley bottom dumps soon! No signs of instability riding laps above the cabin and one mini lap on the west side of the pass.

An encouraging structure to the snowpack so far. Two distinctive crusts shear easy with a shovel shear test but show little propagation propensity. There does not appear to be facets above or below these crusts at this point of the season and the basal layer appears to be bonding well at this point. Super sketch approach/exit below treeline and super happy fun times in the alp!
