Observed an old size 3 avalanche from what appears to be Thursday/Friday based on there being 20cm of fresh over the debris. This ran around 400m starting at 1840m down to 1400m and had a 100-120cm slab thickness. We didn’t observe any instabilities in the snow today while ascending a N/NW aspect and riding down a N.E. aspect. We tested on numerous isolated unsupported convex rolls with no results. Snowpack tests did show some results worth noting, see other tab separately.

Two column tests , first one was CTM13 , SP@45cm and RP@90cm simultaneously occurring together. The lower layer at 90cm was observed to have surface hoar, the upper layer at 45cm was facets. Second test was CTM14 SP@45cm with facets and no simultaneous break on the lower layer. Two additional taps made the lower layer at 90cm also pop, RP with SH.
