Snowshoe trip to Shipyard/Titanic, south side of Babcock. Widespread whumphing on all aspects, and radiating cracks. Quick pit showed 10 cm refrozen crust at bottom, 30 cm loose facets, then 20 cm soft slab in wind affected areas. Height of snow 62 cm. Poor trailbreaking, with snowshoe penetration 40+ cm into facets. Cutting of small rolls caused settlement and cracks, but no movement.
