Spent 3 days touring around the Skoki Lakes and Hiden Bowl area. Overall, the conditions are exactly as advertised in the the bulletin - 5-10 cm low density snow over temperature crust on all aspects. Conditions improve above 2000m on direct N facing slopes that are protected from the winds that seemed to come from everywhere. We had few concerns except this morning when trying to climb up into the north bowl of Richardson where we had a large settlement on a supported slope. That was enough to pull the plug and stick to low angled terrain below. I had done a hand sheer earlier and found 4 or 5 pronounced layers in the upper 50 cm with a hard ice layer down 40cm. Weather was pretty much constant light snow from Friday am to Sunday pm with a few short/hot sunny breaks. Went down to -13C overnight saturday.
