The skin track up to Zoa from falls creek, up the pipeline, and onto the marked trail is bullet proof and incredibly spicy (especially coming down). But don’t let it dissuade you. Once you get out of the dense trees, the snow changes quickly to pockets of dust on crust/powder stashes. Dug a pit and our compression test got about 18 taps and only saw a minor crack. Shovel shear test was hard down at the persistent slab about 30-35cm down. The skiing of the north side of zoa was great! No evidence of recent slides. No whumping and no sluffing. It was lightly snowing but no major accumulation. Winds were picking up in the afternoon to moderate/strong from light in the morning.
