Fraser Lake

We skinned into Fraser Lake today for a little walk-about and a picnic. We didn't take our skins off today, but we did dig a little pit and poke around in it. We dug to ground just below the slope on the east-facing side. Where we dug there was roughly 40 cms of snow right now. The first 10-12 was faceted sugar, the next 8-10 was pencil-density stuff, then 6-8 cms of single finger density stuff, then last weekend's rain crust, then 8-10 cms of newer, low-density snow.
