There was about 10 cm of fresh snow in the morning, and about 25 cm of new snow had accumulated by about 3 pm. We could not feel the crust layer beneath the new snow, and it seemed well bonded at low elevations in the trees. On steeper, more open areas we could feel the crust beneath the new snow, and did see some cracking.
