Right around 1 we started noticing the snow getting heavier as we approached the upper alpine. This stopped around 2550m where we began noticing it was soft again. By the time we made our descent, a slight sun crust had formed at lower elevations. Overall conditions were good, no noticeable instabilities. Most areas had a crust 10-20cm down, with a shallow snowpack overall.
