Wawa Ridge

Great day out on Wawa Ridge, thin snowpack on the wind-blasted alpine slopes (as expected), but the bowl near the summit skied well. Sunnier and less wind than forecasted! Zero instabilities noted all day, no whumphing or shooting cracks and we were carefully watching for these signs because of last week's min reports. Good fun powder on the bowl near the ridge summit, with deteriorating snow conditions below treeline. Below treeline could definitely use some more snow, there were some obstacles to dodge. But overall a great day out on mostly mellow slopes with some good skiing mixed in!
