Tryst Lake Chutes

Headed up to Tryst Lake. Didn't ski the chutes as less experienced member was nervous seeing all the natural sluff. Snow quality coming down the drainage was great up near the lake but deteriorated further down with new snow over top crusted tracks. The chutes looked like they were in awesome condition.

CT25 ~70cm down. Very low angle slope, just wanted to see how the snowpack was looking with the new snow. Quality was either Q1 or Q2, shear was planar and clean but slope was low angle so hard to tell if it would've popped on a steeper slope. Disclaimer that I'm fairly new to pit tests and didn't have a more experienced member with me.

Observed sluff debris off of NE/E aspect of tent ridge, first chute by Tryst Lake, and the N face of the Fist. All debris were directly under cliffs. Snowfall was much heavier than forecasts seemed to suggest, mostly covering tracks within the first 1/1.5hr of our arrival at the trailhead (8am). No crowns were observed. These potentially could have been loose wet from yesterday, I don't know how to tell the age of the debris, but we did directly observe the sluffs on The Fist, suggesting there may have been enough accumulation this morning and last night to cause the other ones.
