5 cm new, generally 80 cm snow depth with midpack support. Travelling at treeline we had numerous whumpfs on the basal weakness. Sudden collapse results on the surface hoar down 22 cm. Ski pen on way up was around 30 cm. Reasonably good skiing on the way down. At treeline, some wind affect in the immediate lees where the skis sometimes sunk beneath, and we occasionally broke through the mid-pack support into the basal weakness.
