Below and at treelike had decent powder for skiing. Alpine was extremely wind affected. As we approached one of the higher ridges we heard a big whumph as the snow below us gave way. It created a crack along the length of the whole slope with a gap of about one inch. We made it back down to the tree line and had a great run out the trees.
