Loop brook - Bonney moraines access

Bring a high sense of adventure! The access along the creek and the elephant trunk is the worst I’ve seen it in January, in 10 years at least. Alder bashing, water hole avoiding and steeps skin track are all part of the deal. A fall down the elephant trunk would not be good. If you are an inexperienced ski tourer, I would avoid the area until there is a lot more snow, or you may want to quit… jokes aside, I personally will choose other valleys to go up until the snow coverage improves, solely based on the enjoyment factor.
