Snowpack

CT0 5cm down, CT19 sudden planar 50cm down, ECTP19 SP 50cm down. Total snowpack 75cm fist the entire pack. Noted a nonreactive visual layer 30 cm down, didn't inspect. Forgot study kit so didn't inspect too deeply. But the lower failure was on 2-2.5mm-ish depth hoar. The faceted snow above this was much smaller .5-1mm-ish I have a video of the very sudden failure if you want it but for some reason wordpress won't let me upload a .mov file, let me know if you want me to email it. I guess I could share it to facebook or something too. Let me know

Avalanche

None, placed a couple ski cuts above the convexity on this slope and got no result. chose not to ski it due to our concern that there could be a more substantial slab in the more open areas above this in the mini bowl due to all the wind we've gotten recently .
