0 degree fahrenheit. Constant wind blowing with severe gusts. Snowing with poor to at times severely reduced visibility.
Snowpack
Dug multiple hand pits on north-northeast aspect around 11300' on slope around 25-30 degrees. There was 12-18 inches of consolidated powder on the top layer, underneath was another ~24 inches of loose granular snow all the way down to the ground. This snow was very unstable, the block in the hand pit collapsed with one soft hand strike on top. Visibility was limited, so I could not see any other avalanches. I heard multiple rumbles concerning for smaller avalanches. I also experienced whumpfing frequently while cutting a fresh skin track. Saw some cracks while skinning up low angle uphill, but no propagation.
Avalanche
While cutting downhill nearly perpendicular to the slope of 25-30 degrees to get back to the skin track to exit I triggered the small avalanche seen in the pictures.
