Parks Canada and Lake Louise Ski Patrol responded to a call for help from three snowboarders, one of whom had triggered a large avalanche and rode it to the bottom of West Bowl. He was not buried and was able to ride back inbounds, but the remaining two were scared to follow. They ended up hiking back up to a patroller waiting at the boundary. None of the party had avalanche safety gear.
