Compression test resulted in a sudden planar failure on buried surface hoar approximately 10cm down. at 15 taps (CTM) Extended Column Test ECTN 13 (fracture occurred at 13th tap, partial fracture that did not propagate) heard Whumphing while ascending back to the ridge line, in low angle, relatively open trees on S/SE aspect.
