Dug a pit at 1663 meters during AST1 course on NEE aspect treed slope. HS 165. 20 cm new snow over 2 days. Air and Surface Temp -6. Did multiple tests and found CTE5 down 20 RP. Reacting on thin suncrist created by previous plus 5 Sunday which sits on top of a dense layer of facets down to i2 cm ce layer created by earlier rains. Also CTH23 down 50 RP. Watch for wind loading of this new snow. Know before you go. Get your hands in the snow
