Snowpack

HS Ranges from 80-130cm at 11k. Ski penetration is about 20cm. The snowpack is terrifyingly weak. Many whumpfs, cracking, a remote triggered slide and many naturals observed. The interface of the slab and fist hard basal weak layers is 1 finger and even pencil hard in wind exposed areas. Still sometimes trap door BTL. See Photos. Castle creek received significantly less snow than CB and Marble. Upper Taylor only had about 0.2" SWE over the weekend. There has been constant natural activity in Castle Creek for the past week. This storm will likely produce a widespread cycle and similar large avalanches. Look at the observations from CB's south eastern zone for a preview of what might happen.

Avalanche

Several large D2 and a D1.5 remote trigger. See photos.
