Weather

Pleasant temperature for the skin up hill. Occasional gust up high in the trees would blow snow down on you. Still loading going on at ridge tops from the wind. Mostly cloudy with the sun trying to come out. The wind event from earlier in the week has left 3-5' drifts on the summit ridge.

Snowpack

North aspect at 11,400' H.S. 150 cm 50 cm down is a facet layer which wouldn't propagate, but would show up in a CT test @12 taps SP. More interesting was with the CT test on 16 taps the column failed at the bottom in the depth hoar. Bottom of the snow pack is 30 cm of 4-5mm depth hoar. The middle of the snow pack is one finger hardness supportable to stand on.
