Weather

Lots of new snow, 24”of denser snow over last few days. No wind and very cloudy, visibly turned poor.

Snowpack

Skiing down we had no signs but hiking back up we saw small crowns on steep roll overs

Avalanche

About halfway down the slope i heard my ski partner yell and I stopped and turned around and watched the dry snow avalanche snow cloud race past us 100’+ away. We estimated the slide was 100-200’ wide and ran 600-800’. From what we could tell it ran on a mid storm layer 15” down. The visibility was poor and we couldn’t see the start zone but pretty sure the start zone was 35-37 degrees. We skied in an area of 27-30 degrees.
