Overcast, couple patches of blue. Storm exiting east. Much evidence of wind, mostly N’ly. Wind/storm seems to have brought dust. I don’t know, but was curious if it came from SE Wyoming or is it desert SW dust? Neither scenario makes me happy.
Snowpack
Dust. Could detect a reddish/brownish tint in the lower 7-8” of new snow. Top 1-5” looked dust free. Could not see a distinct dust layer, seemed like it just perfused thru the early storm layers. ????
Avalanche
None seen but above treeline was obscured all day. Seems to be a little misbehavior in the new snow, possibly associated with dust, maybe?
