Weather
Beautiful Bluebird day with calm winds and warm temps.
Snowpack
The snowpack is still super thin below 10k, and disappearing quickly on sunny aspects. The higher and more interior you get in the range the better. Near Blair Mt and Bison Lake, we found multiple areas with around 2 meters of snow and good stability. In these deeper areas, the slab is thick and robust. Weak layers near the ground are starting to gain strength, and old layers of facets and surface hoar were bonding with layers above and below. The most concerning aspect for future storms is the near surface facets that are about to be buried by tomorrow's storm. These were widespread and could be a problem if we get a big load.
Avalanche
We saw a few old avalanche, possibly from the middle to end of February. Crowns appeared to be isolated to the storm snow and didn't break deep.
