Snowpack

I dug one northwest-facing near treeline slope and found a 2-meter deep snowpack. It was the same as mentioned above, where the new snow is not a cohesive slab. I got hard propagating results in one ECT, about 80 cm down from the surface, below an ice formation formed from pooled melt water during our last warm-up. The crack in the test was in facets below the ice layer. It's interesting, but I haven't seen this in other places.
