Weather

Partially cloudy in the morning. Increasing cloud cover throughout the day with some intermittent snow showers. Little/ no accumulation.

Snowpack

Relatively shallow snowpack, especially in trees, faceted. Some wind effected slopes above/ at treeline.

Avalanche

Triggered a small avalanche. Waypoint shown in caltopo map was taken from base of slide. Estimated 2.5-3ft crown, 50ft wide, ran roughly 75ft. I was boarding towards the slope and paused to see how steep the open patch looked. Immediately after stopping propagating crack formed on either side of where I was standing and then this slid. Crown was roughly 15ft from where I stopped.
