Snowpack
Shallow 125cm depth. CT and ECT column tests failed at 13 taps with Q3 shear and no propagation (ECTN) on 1mm decomposing facets under a 20cm slab of new snow accumulated in the last week. This facet layer was not observed further up the mountain on the same aspect, and likely only exists in more protected areas at low elevations below tree line. All layers below the facet layer consisted of mature rounds all the way to the ground - very little basal faceting/depth hoar.
